Better Life

You probably grew up dreaming of nice cars, big houses and nice things to fill them. Maybe you wanted a boat, or even a plane. Basically, you just wanted to have a great life. Who doesn’t, right? Those are all great things to want and to work towards. We all work for the betterment of ourselves, our families and our lives in general.

Did you ever dream of having better vision? Maybe you did if you were nearly blind. Most people don’t include things like better vision in their childhood dreams. After all, better vision isn’t really tangible, but not being tangible doesn’t mean that it isn’t important or that it can’t be a great improvement in your quality of life.

You may be wondering how better vision can really improve your life. After all, you already have classes or contacts, right? How can it get better? Well, honestly—LASIK. LASIK eye surgery is the process of reshaping your eye to improve your vision and the quality of your life.

You may be thinking that your life is fine with your glasses or contacts, but that may not really be true. Maybe you have just learned to cope with cumbersome glasses or irritating contacts. This type of thing happens to everyone.

When you’re young, you learn that you have only a couple of options—glasses or contacts. Naturally you chose what you thought was the lesser of two evils. But what if there is a solution that isn’t just the lesser of the evils, but not evil at all? Laser eye surgery is a simple, quick outpatient surgery that can dramatically improve your vision with a short recovery period after the surgery.

If you’re wearing glasses, think about all of the times that glasses have hindered you. Think of all the sports you’ve wanted to play but haven’t for fear of either not being able to see or destroying your glasses—football, hockey, soccer, basketball, baseball, martial arts…. These are all off limits to you because of those glasses.

You can’t surf, swim, ride a dirt bike or ATV because of your glasses. You have probably just forgotten how many things you can’t do with glasses. Now, if you wear contacts, you are probably thinking that you are so much better off than those glasses wearers.

After all, you can do anything with contacts, right? No. Contacts can stop you from swimming, surfing, martial arts, contact sports or anything that could cause something to get into your eye. Contacts aren’t so convenient after all, are they?

Driving is another point of concern. With glasses, you have to deal with a lack of peripheral vision, which is very important. Most accidents come from the side, where you need your peripheral vision. Also, you already know how bothersome glasses are with glaring lights from all directions, not to even mention smears and particles of dust and dirt on your glasses.

Contacts aren’t any better – dry eyes, torn contacts, dust in the eye are all big problems when driving. Let’s face it: vision correction apparatus are just ungainly and unsafe when driving. LASIK eye surgery is likely the solution to these problems.

The simple fact that you have learned to cope with what you have is no excuse for not doing the things that you want to do. It’s time to set out for a better life. You may just get that much closer to what you dreamt of as a child.
